Bio - Pesticides
An aspect of Biological control that uses natural enemies such as pathogens, parasitoids and/or predators to manage insect and mite pest populations. Biopesticides may be derived from animals (e.g. nematodes), plants (Chrysanthemum, Azadirachta) or micro-organisms (e.g. Pseudomonas, Trichoderma, nucleopolyhedrosis virus), and include living organisms (natural enemies) etc. Biopesticide is a formulation made from naturally occurring substances that controls pests by nontoxic mechanisms in an ecofriendly manner.
